Strange e-Golf photo

Does anyone have more details on this image? I came across it on InsideEVs and it looks like a cutaway, but what are the vertical pieces? What are they for? What does this look like from the side view?

Here's a side view of the electric Golf with the strange chopped top and vertical pieces of plexi-glass. Also from Inside EVs

I guess they did it so you could see the seats etc but still see where the batteries in the e-Golf are located.

I prefer the EV showcase versions where the seats and everything get chopped...
