A few weeks ago, I discovered VW has an app called "iOwn" for iOS (I can't see any evidence of there being an Android version, which seems stupid so I hope I'm wrong). It's an electronic version of various docs that came with your car. Reading the paper manual first, then using the app as a reference, I have found it really handy for finding things quickly. It's still the same copy/pasted from other models not-so-well written content so you get lots of repetitive hits, but you can still find what you want. It's not a replacement for your paper manual, more like an index or reference when you want figure out specific things after you have driven the car for a while.
