liftgate latch wont unlatch

anyone had luck replacing the electronic latch release?
I'm getting confused if P/N 5G6827505 ends in B or C matters with age of your VIN.

at FCP euro they sell the P/N ending in B and say in support Email that it's for models after my VIN was made. they also have a china part that costs less than $100

Searching this forum, nothing here for liftgate! Really? Dealer says this is a common replace part.

Funny your dealer says it’s a common issue, mine told me the same thing! I had mine replaced professionally because I didn’t want to risk buying the wrong P/N. They confirmed that matching it to your VIN is crucial since even minor wiring or connector changes can cause headaches.
