I didn't have to take either for my purchase from DTLA VW but I only got $10K off MSRP due to not having any other qualifying discounts.ianoble said:When I got my numbers today they included about $3k Service Contract and $895 GAP Insurance. How necessary are those and should I negotiate those out of the contract? With $10800 off MSRP I don't want to spoil the deal!
If you're buying the car, you should think about whether you want the Service Contract or not. That's mostly an assessment of the reliability of the expensive EV specific components in the car and how long you plan to keep it. In any case, the price is WAY inflated. You should be able to negotiate it to almost half that priceianoble said:When I got my numbers today they included about $3k Service Contract and $895 GAP Insurance.
