Has anyone had their e-Golf fail to start due to extreme cold?
I just bought an e-Golf here in Canada and am a little concerned as last year it got that cold about 10 times where I live in Calgary. I didn't know about this warning until reading the manual.

I know there is no battery heater, but would the heat of leaving it plugged outdoors help mitigate this problem?

I live in CA, so I don't have any personal experience with -27C. What if you keep the car plugged in and set it to warm the interior prior to your departure time- I believe this will cause warmed fluid to circulate in the motor, DC-DC converter, power electronics, etc. (not the battery, of course)?

Best of luck!

Unless you leave the car outside, very little day the cold drops below -27 oC. If in your Calgary many days like that, should bring her inside any cover parking.
The temp. said in the manual is real temp., not the effect temp. by wind chill.
I'm in Toronto with some day ( last winter ) below -25 oC, parked outside, got no problem.
Any one in Ottawa or Montreal have experiences?
