Kayak on a roof rack

I did a search for Kayak and got no hits. Has anybody put a kayak on the roof of their eGolf, and if so, how much of a hit to range did it make?

I suspect you will take a bit hit on range - I bet at highway speeds your efficiency could drop by 25% or more.
