Is Juice box completely compatible with 2016 e-golf?

I've read a few conflicting things about the Juice Box. It goes on sale at Costco soon and I am considering it.

Does the app and charger communicate with the car? Can I tell if it is charging and how much is left from the app?

Someone said only the Charge Point can do this?
What can I expect?

It would be nice to be able to check at night if the car is plugged in and either charging or waiting to charge. I don't want to wake up to a low battery or worry until I walk to the car to physically check that it is plugged in.

The Juicebox40 pro will do everything that you wish. I run it with my 2015 SEL, and your 2016 is almost identical. You can control how many kWh you add per charge, or control time it starts charging, etc. I don't think it will do % of completion charge, though. It will do time of day, I believe.


I've had my Juicebox 40 pro 4 years now, and it's been flawless, once hooked up to the WAP in my home. It's a good unit.
