Do 2018 e-golf have covers over the motor?

Hi, I just picked up my new 2018 e-golf SE. I have two questions. My motor doesn’t have the plastic cover with VW logo on it? Searching the internet I see pictures with and without. Has this part been left off the 2018, also the se trim front blue line doesn’t pass throw the lights?.
Thank you for any information.. I’m back in a VW.. after dieselgate, and a Chevy volt.

In the US, I think they omitted the plastic cover starting with the 2017's, but I'm not completely sure.

I can confirm my 2017 LE has no codpiece.

My 2018 SEL Premium does not have a a plastic cover.

None in Canada either on the 2018.

And the blue line never continued from the grille through the lights on any model other than the SEL (the ones with LED headlights).

I believe there are non SEL with LED headlights now, but the blue line doesn't go through them.

Nope. Those are still halogen, but look more similar to the 15/16 version of the LED headlights.

Oh! Thank you for the correction! I saw one of the newer looking headlights with halogen bulbs in an e-Golf the other day and was very confused. That explains it!
