Often, my climate control is set to 'Auto' with 72 degrees at the start. What I expect is for it just remember the settings I used last time. I read the relevant part of the manual, but it does not mention anything about it.

I looked around the settings in infotainment, but could not find anything relevant. How do I disable resetting to auto 72?

thanks,

So does everyone else except, it seems, some folks at Volkswagen. Search around this forum, there are discussions of the topic. Also on the vwvortex e-Golf forum. To jump to the chase, this is something a competent dealer can fix. There may be some particular magic words involved to get them to understand that they can fix it. Getting it addressed hasn’t bubbled to the top of my things-I-must-tweak list, but it is getting close.

Ask this in the Tech section. Same comments to the service writer should get it done. http://www.myvwegolf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=607

Thank you both!. Good to see everyone else thinks this is completely broken. Never would have thought someone would think of this as a 'feature'.
I will try my dealer. This is ridiculous.

Note the wording, and help them help themselves with those key words on where to look in house for the tech tip, to code the setting.

The local VW dealership knew about this problem and offered fix it for free. I got it done on Saturday, but it is not actually fixed. I posted the text fo the repair from the service receipt on the main thread about this issue : http://www.myvwegolf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=607&p=14214#p14214

It it not clear if they are saying it fixed, or not, or if they are saying it can't be fixed.
