I haven't received anything from VW but I saw this the other day.

Anyone else know about a possible airbag issue causing a recall?

This is the first I've heard about it. I haven't been notified. Looks like I'll be calling up the shop tomorrow.

Don't worry about it. There are only 4 e-Golfs affected. Yes, FOUR CARS affected by the passenger airbag detection module recall.

I think it's more than 4.

Descriptive Information : PODS Control Module
e-Golf: 4
Part 573 Safety Recall Report 15V-627 Page 2
The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573
Production Dates : JUL 26, 2014 - OCT 18, 2014
VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) Range
Begin : WVWPP7AU6FW901187 End : WVWPP7AU1FW903610

In the document I listed, it has the following information:

Population:
Number of potentially involved: 993

Jetta: 721
Golf: 268
e-Golf: 4

That adds up to 993. By the way, out of the 993, they think only 34 are actually defective, but they're recalling all 993 that were made the same way. In addition, these are only the cars that were sold in the US. The VIN number range may include cars that were sold in other territories that are not covered by this recall action.

It's really only 4 e-Golfs in the US.

Does anyone have a way of determining how many 2015 e-Golfs have been sold in the USA?

I'm probably misunderstanding that document... but I find it confusing at the very least. The VIN range spans over 2400 numbers, and the "Not sequential VINs" box is *not* checked, so I don't know how to correlate that with the document's statement that only 4 vehicles being affected. Any idea which part I'm misinterpreting?
