Does anyone else's reverse camera stink?

My 2015 e-Golf is showing pretty bad horizontal "scan lines" when I first go into reverse. I took a video of it: https://goo.gl/photos/65q2YMWkf1sECGT87 ...the worst is between :06 and :10 in the video. It's odd because it looks the worst when you first go into reverse, then it clears up. If I...

    carnet cost and options

Really? Have you confirmed this? I think $100/yr for all the remote features without roadside assistance would be fair. $200/yr for an app that is mediocre at best (and incredibly slow) plus roadside isn't a great deal.

    Great windshield wiper replacement found

Good price! I think my car had Bosch wipers on it and I wasn't thrilled with them. Good to know there are other cheap options though!

Does anyone else have this on their front bumper?

I was able to push that rubber piece back into place. It sits on the top inner "lip" of the bumper skin. Still not sure how it got pushed out of place. I bought the car used, but there are no records of an accident, nor any signs of one. Odd.

    Great windshield wiper replacement found

Just picked up the Anco C-26-N and C-18-N wipers for my e-Golf. They installed in 30 seconds, and they work A LOT better than the OEM ones. They are a lot cheaper too. Amazon links: Driver's side: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GUGUZA8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

Does anyone else have this on their front bumper?

Thanks! I will have the dealer take a look when it goes back.

    Heat pump getting louder?

In my case the noise never really subsided. I think the pump was working overtime to warm the car to even 68 degrees. I will report back on exactly what is replaced and whether or not it was effective. I'm hoping the part(s) go in next week.

Does anyone else have this on their front bumper?

Does anyone else have this "droop" of rubber behind their front bumper, lower left side of the car if you are facing it? Photo here: https://goo.gl/photos/wYERfWPEJTqZ11DcA ...the dealer said it was normal, but they said that about something else that is now being replaced by another dealer. I...

    Heat pump getting louder?

I finally figured out what it sounded like. It was like an air compressor running at full speed. That is what the sound was like. I just got back from Colonial VW in Medford MA. They had the car in there for a while, and I took the tech (who was very pro-EV!) for a ride and explained what I was...

    Heat pump getting louder?

Knowing my experience isn't unique makes me feel a bit better. I'm still going to have another dealer take a look next week. Thank you!

    Swirl scratches on B pillars

I would start with a nice wax and see if that helps. If it doesn't you could get a plastic swirl mark remover, and carefully try that. Removing swirls from gloss black plastic can take time, and it's easy to make it worse if you aren't careful.

Rough vibrating sound when heat is on

Update. Yesterday the temperature went down into the teens, and I did a fair bit of driving. The heat pump noise was louder than it has ever been. So much so that I had to turn the radio up to drown it out. I called VW of America to discuss it with them, and to have a more e-golf knowledgeable...

    Heat pump getting louder?

Today in MA was very cold. I don't think it went above 20 degrees. I drove a fair bit today, and had the heat set to 70 degrees, fan on speed 2. The heat pump "motor" sound was substantially louder than it has been in temperatures above 30 degrees. So much so that at low speeds it was loud...

    Temperature effect on range

EV batteries really don't like extreme heat. And unlike the cold, extreme heat can be detrimental to the longevity of the pack. Try your best to not DC fast charge the car in those temperatures.

    2015-6 e-Golf HVAC 72F fix Tech Tip 87-15-02

I can confirm that this works. I just bought a used 2015 e-Golf SEL and brought it to Kelly VW in Danvers MA to have a few things inspected. I told them that the HVAC was driving me nuts because it was resetting to Auto and 72 degrees each day. I printed this out: "Tech tip number 87-15-02"...

    Best Winter Tires Choices?

Thanks for keeping this thread updated Rsolaregolf. I am about to buy some 16" wheels from an audi with snow tires on them for my 2015 SEL. I was worried about getting a huge efficiency hit, but it seems like I should be OK.

Has anyone debadged their e-golf? Any pin holes behind?

I just finished debadging my 2015 e-GOLF SEL. Image here: https://goo.gl/photos/3xn6MQMfav2Hq68i9 Out of the dozens of cars I have debadged over the years, this was one of the easiest. I heated the badge up slightly with a heat gun on low, and ran dental floss between the badge and the...

Has anyone debadged their e-golf? Any pin holes behind?

No no, bought it used. I'm returning my leased Volt next week though! No mods to a leased car!

Has anyone debadged their e-golf? Any pin holes behind?

I want to remove the e-golf badge from the hatch lid. I have debadged many cars, and I'm familiar with the process. Before I go ahead, does anyone know if there are pin holes behind the badge? If so I will just leave it on. Thanks!
