Hello, I'm looking to purchase a e-golf 2020 with 25k mileage on in the UK, my commute is 90miles per day to work.
Keen to find out the actual range people are getting
 
Can't say I'd recommend an eGolf for a 90 mile daily commute in the UK. From my experience you'd be fine in summer but your gonna have many cold journeys in winter. I think I'd probably put the cap at about 70 mile daily commute based on being comfortable in winter and minimising the upper and lower charge levels, I.e. charging to 90% and keep a sensible 10% reserve. A heat pump might get you a bit more range but I don't know what as I don't have one. The dashcam will make no measurable difference whatsoever.
Most EV's recommend not charging above 80-90% and not having a decent reserve would give you massive range anxiety. So bare in mind, daily real world range is only ever going to be 70-80% what the manufacturer says in summer. Winter will probably put you down to about 50%.
 
My e-Golf SEL 2019 has 44,000 miles. On a full charge it shows 120-130 miles. That's pretty much what it shows when the car was new. I never used DC fast charging and I never let the car sit 100% charged for more than a couple of hours.
I drove 105 miles recently and had still 29 miles battery power. It all depends how you drive. If you have a heavy right foot, 90 miles is a stretch. Of all the factors you can control with respect to range, speed is the most important by far. If you have a relaxed driving stile, 90 miles commute should be okay.

In summer I get 120 miles easily on the highway. Not very cold where Iive so winter range not much different - maybe 115 mikes.

If you can charge at work, there is no issue.

Even if you need a 5 min DCFC session, it may be worth it. Best of luck.
 
I also have a 2019 with about 48k miles on it. I concur with wkuballa’s assessment: as long as the vehicle’s battery is in okay shape (which it should be with that mileage), you should be fine as long as your commute is at relatively lower speeds. Once you start driving above 55 or 60 mph, the range drops rather quickly. Running the heater with the SEL (which has a heat pump) will only knock a few miles off if you keep the heat within reason (and rely more on the seat heaters).
 
With that amount of commute i would be looking for a car with a much longer range. I have recently purchased a 2020 with 25k on the clock and is fine as a second car for short journeys, but 90 miles would give me major range anxiety and rightly so, especially in winter.
