OK, Screw all the talk about updating the radio, maps, etc. I think the question here is about charging. My 2015 has gotten 'error' codes at some (EVgo) fast chargers, and it's definitely a software issue. VW should have info on this?!
Ignoring map updates, to answer your question directly; no there are no software updates for any model e-golf. I know now people expect all electric cars to get periodic software updates, like a lot of cars on the market do, but this is not the case for MK7 platform cars (e-Golf, Golf, GTI, R, etc..). These cars are built on a platform that doesn't support that.
Now are there software update for modules? Yes there are, but those were released by VW to fix issues. The only ones I can see from Erwin for the e-golf platform that were released as a TSB are as follows:
- 2015-2017 models, certain conditions to fix heat pump problems
- fault for corning lights in the headlights
- fault for the radio with video signal
To update those modules, you need access to ODIS with an online connection. Unless you get the flash files directly then you can use ODIS-E. You can also use something like VCP too.
Are there software updates for the radio unit? Yes those are available, but they won't unlock new features or give extra functions. VW doesn't release software 'release notes' so we don't know what's in the new versions. But again, those are probably released to fix a bug in the software. But the radio updates don't help for any charging issues at certain EV charging stations. For that, I would assume it's a software issue with the onboard AC/DC charger. Or in the case of using a level 3 charger, the onboard battery BMS directly.
Long story short... there are no software updates for the e-golf that would be useful to anyone. Also the screenshot from OP is showing the software version of the radio unit, which is not even applicable to the other modules on the car.
My advice, scan the car with a VAG capable scanner (like OBDEleven, VCDS, VCP, ODIS, etc...). If there are 0 codes present in the modules in question (onboard battery charger, high voltage battery, etc..) then assume everything with the car is probably okay, and there is probably an incompatibility with the 3rd party charger you are trying to use.
