wiper blade wear premature

Are the factory wiper blades any good? I have a poor evaluation.
I bought the $40 set 5G1998002 of both sides and after 5 months of parking under cover from the sun, the long one on driver side is no bueno!
It squeaks, leaves streaks, and the rubber is torn at both ends.

I don't see any results of this topic when search +wiper* +wear so I'm asking here.

I have been using Bosch 5G1998002 since last November and they still work well.

i once went to part store and they told me there are various Bosch lines
Envision (best) driver side = EN260E
Icon driver side = 260E
a set of both sides = 3397007863

what is that number 5G1... that you got?

I don’t know. I got my set from FCP Euro.

After f1geek wrote about the Euro site, I realized that hey dummies, WE ARE REFERRING TO THE SAME EXACT PART NUMBER :shock: . That 5G1... is what I wrote on July 15 for the one that failed in 5 months. But the good news about using FCP Euro is they show on their policy that you can continually return wear items for free replacement. Just paying shipping. Looks like bad for VW dealer and good for us to deal with such short lifespan wiperblades in the heat of Phoenix!
