I'm looking to put winter rims and tires on my 2019 e-golf. I own a perfect for winter all wheel drive Cayenne, so its difficult to justify paying for a new set of wheels and snow tires, especially since the eGolf is leased. On Craig's list, I found a set off of an Audi A4 with the same specs except for the offset which is 35. The 2019 eGolf's OEM rims offset are 46. Will the 35 offset work? The dealership could not say yes or no, and the lowest offset I have found for new wheels online is 40.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks - I'd really like to keep driving around town this winter and not have to pay for gas!

Here is some additional information from the craigslist seller:

Wheels: AT Italia 5-Spoke Silver Painted 16x7, Bolt Pattern 5x112, Offset +35
Tires: Blizzak WS80 205/55 R16
No Curb Rash. Lightly used on 2001 Audi S4 Avant

looks like the eGolf OEM's also differ in rim width
205/55R16 91H 6.5Jx16 ET46 5x112

You are probably fine: Looking at Tirerack, they have 35mm offset 16" 7.5 wide wheels for the regular Golf. So a narrower 16x7 with 35mm will have enough clearance.
