Volkswagen e-golf inverter swap mk7->7.5

Hey does anyone have any info on what has increased the power in the mk7.5 e-golf (2017-19) 20hp from the mk7 e-golf (2015-16)? As far as I can see the only technical differences seem to be minor besides the 10kwh gain in the battery and cosmetic differences in the inverter. I've seen that Nissan in the past has just upgraded the inverter for the leaf to give it more power and was assuming that the 20hp gain seen from the mk7 to mk7.5 e-golf is just different inverter technology, can anyone verify this?
