I don’t think it is worth it. If you always set your car in Eco mode you will a good efficiency. Also, I am dubious about violating warranty. Even if it did not violate warranty, it may put stress on parts in a way not modeled by VW that will lead to issues.
But someone can try it out and see if there is any difference - I do not think I saw a mention of efficiency improvement quantified.
