Start stop button replacement

Hi all,
I have a 2016 e-golf se and have to press the start stop button multiple times for it to work. I’ve checked around but can’t find a replacement .Does anyone know if a golf mk7 button would work?

Should be the same. Only costs $17 on E-Bay shipped to find out for sure.
