The curb weight listed of 3391 lbs is in conflict with the Jan 15 press release of the US version which listed it at 3090 lbs. This is important to resolve because it will be compared to the bmw i3 curb weight of 2634 lbs. I was impressed if the difference was only 450 as the battery accounts for 200 lbs of that, but if the difference is really 750, not so much, and the i3's aluminum frame and carbon fiber body does make a big difference.

I've written VW to try to pin this down

VW has confirmed that the curb weight 3090 kbs in the 1/15 press release was in error and that the correct curb weight is 3390

So e-golf is 750 heavier than the i3, 200 to the battery, and the rest i3's aluminum frame, carbon body, and e-golfs longer body length
