Got my 2016 SEL Premium (without drive assist package) last week, here is the deal:

1. $2,500 down out-of-door, covering 1st month payment, tax, HOV sticker, license and fees - I have put myself on the waitlist for CA CVRP's $2,500, Hopefully I will get the state pay for my down payment later, as they did for the $2,500 I put down for my 2015 Nissan Leaf almost 3 years ago.

2. $145/month including tax, for the remaining 29 months.

3. 7,500 mile/year - I am okay with it, since I only logged 16,600 miles on my Leaf in the last 34 months.

Compared to my previous 36 month lease on my 2015 Leaf S with quick charge package, at $229/month, with $2,500 down, I am pretty happy with the deal.

Wow, these are nice. So well below $250/mo on average including all fees. They are definitely moving them, hopefully the 2017s will be landing here soon.

Sunnyvale VW seem to have a VW challenge of some sort and are looking to move 200 e-golfs over the next month. That is probably the reason for these deals. I'm pretty close to sealing a similar one myself.

Right. That's what their ad says.

I called Sunnyvale VW and a salesperson told me that VW "found" 500 unsold e-Golfs in Texas and challenged Sunnyvale VW to get rid of 200 ASAP. He also said that all 200 were eligible for the deal even though the ad says 1 available. Go get em'!

Texas, eh? Unlikely, of course, as they’re not a CARB state. But I suppose the secret lair of 2016 e-Golfs has to come from somewhere! A few weeks ago there were only around 100 in nationwide inventory, and now there are 343. Considering the fire-sale prices, it looks like VW is providing Sunnyvale with a whole bunch of incentives to sell the remaining stock.

Got 2016 SEL premium today from Sunnyvale VW thanks to this forum.
Package: Drive assist, DC fast charger, protection package, 7500miles/year

1. $3000 down out-of-door (it allows you to use credit card up to $2500, and rest can be check)
2. $198/month including tax(~$150 without protection package)

I went it after lunch and it seemed they just sold ~10 e-Golf in the morning...
