Hello,

Sometime i have the red light when i try to charge my e-golf, and as i can see it’s due because the charge lock was not done, and when i try to see if the locking pin was out, i see that it wasn’t out, and sometime i see that this pin move when i press thar charge hard, but finally it doesn’t came out.

I see that some people put silicone spray on the pin and it fix the problem, so can you tell me if it fix this problem for you or not ?

How do I put the spray on the pin?
Do I have to wait until the pin is out to put it on? Do I have to leave the charging cable connected to my car charging port?
Won't that damage anything?

Are the sprays in the photo correct or do you have any brands of silicone spray to recommend?

I precise that i charge only with public charge level 2.

Thank you

I would use silicone lubricant. Don't spray too much, with pin in or out it should work. No problem leaving J1772 connector in car inlet, but if you are going to spray, best to cover every thing else to protect from overspray.
