Low Speed Brake Click

I have noticed my eGolf brakes will "click" when I reverse at low speed and come to a stop. They will then click again on the first stop I make. It is almost like they take a set and once they are in position they don't make the noise again.

Anyone else notice this noise?

I have taken it to the dealer and they are proposing to change out the brake pads. Believe it or not they had to order them?

This may work for a short time but I doubt this is a good long term fix.

100% normal. Every VW I've owned does it, including both Touaregs. Pads rotating between the stops with change in direction the pads are stopping. Less noticeable if you touch brakes gently each change in direction.
