Loud heat pump

I have a 2015 eGolf that's been running pretty well except for one issue - the heat pump(?) makes a loud, low rumble/rattle when I have the heat on or if the a/c is on. The car had been to the dealer but the issue persists. Is a loud noise coming from the pump/fan or somewhere normal on this car ? Has anyone experienced anything similar ?

When I walk out in the morning and the car is pre-warming for me it sounds like a small engine idling. I'm thinking its fairly normal for these things to make a good bit of noise when heating.
