Leaky roof?

I didn't have that exact problem, but I did have a water leak due to (I think) the seal around my hatchback not being 100% tight.

Check all your door seals for pinches or for anything caught in them, even as thin as a piece of paper. For a water spot in that location I'd check all along the top edge of your rear passenger side door first, then the front passenger side door, then the hatchback.

If you don't see anything obvious, take a hose to the shut windows one at a time to see if you can isolate where the leak is coming from. That's basically what the dealer will do.

Since the most is by the door, I suspect that something is caught in the door gasket (Maybe some pine needles or something).
The smallest item will transmit water into the cabin.

Think of a front load washer. If you don't remove hair from the bottom of the door, you will notice dripping as the hair transmits the water to the outside.

Thanks both for your suggestions.

I checked all gaskets very carefully - can't find anything stuck in there or any area that seems to have lost seal integrity.

The day I bought it (new) I noticed there was some condensation in the passenger side rear light cluster after it was detailed by the dealer... didn't think much of it, but I wonder if these are related problems.
