Key out of range error

I've had the car for about 5 weeks now, driving it every day.
During two drives, out of approximately seventy, I have gotten "key out of range" errors.
It didn't just happen once during those two drives. It would happen every few minutes until I arrived and stopped the car.
In both cases, the key was sitting right in the little cubby next to the aux power receptacle.
And, other than the warnings in the MFD, there didn't seem to be any other adverse effects.
Has anybody else seen this behavior?

I have same thing happen to me but only if key is lying on the passenger seat.
If I put them into that little place under the radio or cup holders - it never happen, yet.

I think that battery is getting discharged maybe, I've never even put it into ignition, it still has that blue tape on it
It has standard CR2025 battery and it will loose it capacity sooner or later.

BTW, I have my car since beginning of March 2015.
