Hello,

So today this happened:
Got in the car after a stop at a store, somehow hit the alarm. Turned it off and drove away with 65 miles on the GOM.
A few minutes later, at a stop sigh, the car displayed the message that miles were under 32 and car will go into eco mode.
Watched the miles continue to drop to 23...
Drove off and a few minutes later, miles dropped to 12, and minute after that to 5.
Warning that electrical "something" error flashed and that the battery was depleted.
Made it home!

Turned the car off, back on, and warning was gone and miles climbed up to 37.

On hold with VW customer service as dealer service dept. is not answering the phone.

Any advise? Thanks.

Always video record events like this with time stamps on your smart phone when happening. Then show the video to the service advisor at your local VW. It documents the problem for the future, in the event that they can not duplicate and say it's not a problem.

The event is neither crazy, nor scary... It's usually some sort of software glitch.

Any time something computer based starts acting really weird, shut it off and reboot. This includes your e-Golf. If behavior is abnormal, document it for a bit, then shut the car off completely, then reboot it with the start button.
