ClipperCreek HCS-50P on Sale

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an EVSE and was checking out ClipperCreek HCS-40P (32Amp) $589 when I noticed that the HCS-50P (40Amp) is going on sale for $659 (org.$859). For $70 more I would have 40Amp available to use in the future.

Am I missing something?

Also electrician quote $200 to install 14-50 NEMA outlet, is that fair (I'm in North New Jersey)?

$200 for an electrician to install anything anywhere seems like a steal to me! If it had been to install a Tesla charger price would've been $2000.

That appears to be a great deal on the charger, too.

Didn't the Clipper Creek have issues with the older eGolfs?


And $200 is just enough to install a plug in the backside of your panel.
