Charger plug won't insert fully into car

This just started today. The charging plug is somehow not going all the way into the receptor. Seems like some ring towards the back of the receptor is loose? Its hard to tell. Any ideas?

You didn't say where you are located. If you are in USA, check the J1772 plug. There is typically a big o-ring inside the "tube" of the plug. If that o-ring is out of position, it is very difficult or impossible to fully insert the plug. You can either use a small long flat blade screwdriver to try to re-seat the o-ring, or you can use needle nose pliers to just pull it out.

This is a relatively common problem on public charging stations. You should also contact the charging station owner if possible to report the trouble.

Late reply but there's a little plastic strap connected to the charge door. I've had it come loose and prevent the charge handle from seating.
