Changing Drive Modes (Normal, Eco, etc.)

Bought this 2016 SEL Premium recently (less than 20K miles). Great transportation around the city, which was main reason for buying the eGolf. Having some difficulties changing a drive mode when starting the car, i.e. going from "Normal" to "Eco". Sometimes it works,sometimes it ain't. Does anybody out there have had a similar experience and found a solution? Please share your experience.

Press the Mode button once, then select the mode you want from the main touchscreen.

It has happened to me. Only way to fix is to stop and start the car again (Don't do this while moving please)
