Anyone in CA who's buying the Electric Vehicles (and others) such as the eGolf, will now have to prove a salary check.
If you earn more than $250k as a single, $340k as a HoH, or $500k as a joint will NOT be offered the rebate.

They will check your 1040 (I'm not sure how you submit this) to confirm you aren't over.

I guess those people who just LOVE Tesla and can afford it will not be getting any rebates.
Extra Note to those who earn less $35k - $75k (4 People). You get an EXTRA $1500 rebate.
So lets see if you earn < $35k yr, are you REALLY looking into a new electric car? (And people who make 35k will have to have tier 1 credit).

I guess this law was aimed at Tesla because who ELSE can afford a $100k+ car. (Well now tesla has a $35k car, with a 130k waiting line..haha)

I can see this applying to a retired person with a relatively small taxable income like a pension or annuity, but has a lot of money saved up and/or locked into real estate.
