Air bag deployed, yet airbag not deployed.

I was just involved in a three car accident with my 2015 e-golf on the freeway, the car was immobilzed after being hit, the dash said "air bag deployed" yet no airbag was deployed, the car then completely shut down as far as the drive engine, anyone ever had this happen to them as far as being in an accident and the car saying the airbag was deployed yet it didn't deploy? I've tried to get in touch with VW about this but of course they are busy trying to cover up their scandal so don't have much time to get back to me as far as their car having another malfunction.

Sounds like you've been driving around without a working airbag. I'd go over to the NHSTA website and report your incident. If they have other similar issues reported they will look into it. Airbags not deploying when they should, could cost lives.
