Called CarNet and was told nothing works due to my expired subscription (referring to my 12 month trial of full services)
I tried to inform them that my e-Golf has a "VW Car-Net 3 year Complimentary Subscription active until Apr 30,2018"
Reply - - " no it don't"
Sounds like Monty Python.... "I'd like an argument please"
Convinced the guy to go check by asking for a supervisor.

Placed on hold...

Comes back "you need to go to Technical Support"

Placed on hold...

Tech Support.
"There is nothing wrong."
"Wanna bet"
Find out that there was a Weekend upgrade and they are aware and working on the outage.
There is no ETA for a fix and the website might offer a functional alternative to the app. Which currently it does not, it's down as well.


So you're all in good company. VW strikes again!!!

Edit.... Did nothing. No app update. No pin change. No pushing buttons in car.
Access via iOS app returned on its own.
 
I called Car Net yesterday around 12:00noon
"Support"- had me delete and reinstall the App, then reset my PIN.
"Tech Support" told me about the update and instructed me to press the "i" button to activate service.

I did that, and was told to wait 24 hours.
25 hours later, the app is functioning again.

I am sure the update was more than cosmetic, but that's all I see.
The "Setting" icon is now on page two.
 
They made you jump through hoops for no reason. I did nothing but wait and I was just able to log in and everything looks like it did before the service interruption.
