    Charger plug won't insert fully into car

    Late reply but there's a little plastic strap connected to the charge door. I've had it come loose and prevent the charge handle from seating.

    The needle starts moving immediately once you hit high draw. I see it on an uphill merge onto the highway. While things certainly can heat up, I'm going with a basic algorithm controlling the needle, not a thermal sensor.

    I thought so too but the Kill-A-Watt is definitely not capable of day-in day-out usage at 12A. Mine eventually melted down when I had a Volt (same 12A rate), damaging the EVSE plug as well. EDIT: I recall that the Edmunds guys melted down a Kill-A-Watt during their testing too.

    Unless the dealer has actually performed the swap, I would be concerned there could be more to it than simply exchanging a few parts. You don't want to be paying for their learning curve. US Nav in a '15 is terrible as Ron said. Did Europe get a better one? I know they have charge time...

    Check the voltage at the 12V battery with the car off, then on. When I turned mine on, I observed 13.18 VDC initially, settling back to 12.65 after a few moments. At the time, I didn't think to check it before turning the car on.

    10% is my rough observation too, in temperatures down to the high teens. Of course that's just the estimate. The only way to really know is to drive it all the way to zero, which noone is going to do.

    I got the 18 mile warning last night for the first time. I was driving fast-for-an-e-golf in 23F weather with the heat on so it happened with 1/4 battery remaining. I arrived home with 9 miles indicated without receiving any additional warnings.

    The width is hurting you too. More frontal area. Tesla was brought up. They had a truly ugly "aero" wheel option for a time and only claimed a 3% improvement in range. Same size tires.
