    2020 e-Golf apparently announced

You are totally lost...you re not seeing the S-curve of adoption of Evs that is eminent VW makes more money on ICE cars and thus could care a rats a** about saving the environment. They are only selling the eGolf cause they have to.

    2020 e-Golf apparently announced

the point is VW has no strategy for electrification in the US besides selling compliance cars. The debuted the van the crossover and the id buzz a few years ago in Malibu and have done nothing since. etron sales have been abysmal, taycan will be interesting, but i do not think they will...

    2020 e-Golf apparently announced

They originally said they would have a 48v egolf and an id3 in 2019 Let’s face it VW would be cannobolizing ice car sales. This is why they are reluctantlu moving to electric. That and the post dieselgate promises with the likes of ca resources board. Ultimately they will be too far behind...

    2020 e-Golf apparently announced

This confirms that they are losing money on each sale, and only selling as it is a compliance car. Notice they have not upped the range, as VW is not in control from a cost standpoint of excessive battery costs. I think the id3 will show up in 2021 at best, when other manufacturers namely...

If you look earlier in the thread there...many folks have gotten 11.5k off...throw in all the rebates and the final price is approaching $9k+ttl.

How to approach e-golf lease negotiation?

That is how things worked 30 years ago. It is a commodity what you are buing. In the age of interent, location means nothing. If you buy out of state based on price that is perfectly acceptable., and you have to play the game over email, and get dealerships to compete with each other as they...

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

    Tinting

Thanks for sharirng. I recently saw a newer gas golf tinted, and it had exactly the same line as the picture I posted.

    Tinting

I just got my car tinted in 40% suntek CIR ceramic. Question: The 2 side rear window, actually have 2 sections each. In my tinting, a small light color line appears on both windows around the curveture of the tint. Not sure others are seeing this on their tinted cars? Question: There are 2...

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

I have been pleasantly getting on average 4.4mi/kw and around 150ish miles of range with the new battery. Even driving 70mph on the freeway. For most people this 150mile range is more than good enough I would say 98%.

Buying a 2016 e golf: is CPO worth it?

Here is the thread I posted on SD...if you qualify for all the potential rebates...you may be able to get it for under $10k as low as $6.5k ish...

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

My '16 also had more of a whirlling sound on regen...the '19 that noise is not there. The '16 motors were made in Germay....'19 made in China. So in this area for me, there was actually an improvement.

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

Please read my previous post about cost cutting...that doesn't always imply a degradation in quality but in my case I am seening some signs. Nothing conclusive, just yet, and hopefully nothing at all. People have reported problems with the new level 1 charger that comes with the vehicle. I...

Buying a 2016 e golf: is CPO worth it?

Unless you are in-elligble for Tax rebates...buying a new eGolf can be less expensive than used...additionally 125 mile range vs 86.

    PGE new EV rate plans

Yes, we have the same issues in socal. The EV rate plans are disadvantages to solar customers unless of course your panels are mostly westward mounted but even then it's hardly of benefit. Net Meetering plus retaining your abillity to have peak periods in the summer between 11am-6pm, far...

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

Thanks for educating us all, had no idea everything is made in China and not the 'merica. Thanks for that. With that said, check the sticker that came with your '16 vs '19 eGolf, both manufactured in Wolfsburg. But the parts have change considerably. Even the L1 charger has been downgraded...

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

Yes, I was in exactly the same boat, it was cheaper to buy new than my 2016 lease. 2019 is better in every way, range, features, seats, updates to the rear, better lights. The only downside is that my 2016 70% of the parts were from Germany, 2019 30% of the parts are from China. 2016 just...
