I had an electrician appointment today to estimate the cost of work to install 220v plug in my garage. He gave me a quote $900 for 50A breaker. I think it's extremely high. My town house is relatively new (2005). Does anybody have a good cheaper recommendation in the Bay area ?

I have IOS 9.1 on iPhone 5 and iPhone 6. They both work, stop and work again after hour or two. Totally unpredictable, at least I don't see any sequence.

I noticed that when I start the car the fan also starts every time regardless what position it was at the off time. Any suggestions ?

October lease special made those toys really visible. I saw 1-2 in Palo Alto last week and two at Cisco charging lot in San Jose.

Just plugged the car first time into L2 ChargePoint machine. At the very beginning the light was yellow, then after several minutes became green. Is that normal ?

Update. Got a call today from the store with the news that they managed to fix the car. They explained that the member of VW special team came with the latest software update. They told me that there is a number of cars identified with that defect. Picked up the car - works fine.

I had this issue several times with my iPhone 5, but it goes away at the next call. Not sure what is the right sequence to consistently demonstrate the problem.

So far I didn't get any offers neither from the dealer, nor VW HQ. With my "luck" and seeing how incapable the local repair people, I seriously start to doubt e-Golf decision. At the same time the car looks and feel nice and the current lease deals are really much cheaper than anything else on...

Update: not fixable in a manageable time. The guy from the dealership said that part of the problem is fixed but the "time setting" issue will require another software update that is not even available. I was told to call VW HQ to request the ref. number and start the lease buy-back process...

My car (2016 SE) is still (ONE WEEK) in repair without an ETA for fix. I feel really cheated to stay without the car after just 40 hours of owning it. What should be VW/dealership reaction if I don't get car fixed in next 1-2 days ? Swap the leased car ? Anything else ? Any similar situations to...

Update from the dealer: instrument cluster had a broken fuse. The car is still with the dealer from Monday. Getting nervous about VW EV local (CA Bay area) repair capabilities. If to change the fuse takes more than a week, how long would it take something serious ?!

Does anybody know if VW provides the free loaner (regular gas) for long trips a number of days a year ? BMW has "Flexible Mobility Program" and Fiat has "ePass" owners' programs that provide the loaners when needed.

How many hours did you actually charge ? I saw somewhere that to get it really fully charged it takes even longer that 12 hours.
