    eGolf parts availability

Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch That's effed up. VW shouldn't be collecting a month of lease payment when it's their fault it's undriveable. What does VW Customer Care say?

    Lease Cost Breakdown

Are you sure that adjusted cap is correct? I think it's probably more like $2000 cap reduction with the other $1500 of your drive off going to acquisition fee, tax, license and first monthly. (That would still get you to about $215/mo with tax, by my calculations.) That's way better than...

    Lease Cost Breakdown

Tax and license work out to about $1750-1800, so be aware if you're comparing that to a "due at signing" or "drive-off" price that already includes those.

    Lease Cost Breakdown

As you may have learned already, the only number that matters is the Gross Capitalized Cost, or the price at which the dealer is agreeing to sell it to the lease company -- in this case, Volkswagen Credit Leasing. Typically this will include the destination fee, but nothing else: no rebates, no...

    SoCal VW e-golf SEL lease

Well, I was unable to track down that $29,354.00 price anywhere in SoCal. (The original poster indicated to me that it was a Costco member deal, but the Costco member price at the dealership I went to was exactly $700 under invoice, so $33-something.) I was only able to drum up a couple...

    CD Player Question

I figured someone might ask this (the sales guys always do). I can think of three: Frequently, I will grab something from my collection right as I go out the door, listen to it in the car (once), come home and put it away and maybe not listen to that particular thing again for, potentially, a...

    SoCal VW e-golf SEL lease

Much obliged. They gave me slightly different numbers (base cap cost $30,396.72 and $1,566.40 cap reduction). So now I'm curious which dealer went down to the $29,354.00 mentioned at the beginning of this thread ... that seems to be the number to beat.

    CD Player Question

Prospective buyer here (of the 2015 SEL model). I mentioned to the sales rep yesterday that I really really hated having the CD player in the glovebox, because it's basically impossible to reach across the car and change a disc while driving, and changing a disc while driving is something I do...

    SoCal VW e-golf SEL lease

Would you happen to recall what the cap cost worked out to be (i.e. including the destination, but excluding the $625 acquisition fee)? That seems to be the number that's really important, as it's the only piece of the arithmetic that's negotiable and varies from dealership to dealership.

    SoCal VW e-golf SEL lease

Jeez, at those prices, I'd drive off in one tomorrow. I'm having trouble understanding the numbers, though -- they don't work out exactly in any of the lease calculators I've tried. Could you help clarify them for me? I'm assuming acquisition fee of $625, license/tire/doc/EFF fees of $400 or...
