Not able to engage Cruise Control

Thanks for the obvious. Since my vehicle must always default to cruise ON (little speedometer grayed out), then I only have been pressing the other 3 buttons (CNL, Set and Res) - and totally forgot about the On button. I won't forget the ON button again - even looked it up in the owners manual...

New car..new wall mount charger...can't charge!

Question: Does the level 2 charger vehicle plug (J1772) fully seat and latch? Comment: I notice that at some places, the charger plug will not fully seat and then the charge function will not start (light switch to green). If the vehicle latching pin does not extend out to lock the plug in...

Not able to engage Cruise Control

Problem: Pressing SET does not enable cruise control. 2016 e-Golf Detail: Just left the dealer this morning (inspection) with no prior problems. Started vehicle, drove away and notice after 5+ miles that the Odometer was still on the display (normally odometer only displays briefly at startup)...

    How Green is your EV?

My number is 58 even though we are 100% renewable Niagara Falls electric source. So your telling me that the additional green-house gas is due to battery manufacturing, etc. If the vehicle was manufactured in Germany, then I should only be focused on what local greenhouse gases I generate...

    EZ Pass?

I thought the Dark Pattern area is the FM antenna - something placed there could affect FM reception. Where in the manual (page#) does it refer to placing EZ-PASS on the FM antenna ?

    CarPlay Issues (Resolved)

I found the answer with my iPhone not connecting to CarPlay. It was in the iPhone > Settings > General > Restrictions - was set to on. I turned off restrictions and the iPhone immediately connected. How the restrictions got put there - I don't know....

What are the Pros and Cons in Minimum Battery Charge level

Thanks - that makes a lot sense. Mine is set to 30% (factory default), so I think at least 40% to 60% is reasonable to keep the battery healthy.

    CarPlay Issues (Resolved)

This Forum sub topic sounds like CarPlay Issues (not Resolved fully) So here is mine CarPlay issue. 2016 SEL Premium, 3 fairly new Apple brand Lighting cords, two iPhones (6 and 6 plus). The iPhone 6 seems to work fine, but not so for the iPhone 6 plus -- it has not successfully...

    charging to 90%

FYI: The BMW i3 has the same battery management behavior in that it only allows you to charge to 90% and discharge down to 10%, even though the display states 100% and 0% (or on the i3 shown as "-- --". But the i3 nor the i3 app on the iPhone does not allow any pre-setting of 90% charging...

What are the Pros and Cons in Minimum Battery Charge level

Question: Pros and Cons on optimal setting for the "Minimum Battery Charge Level"? (2016 e-Golf Owners Manual) From the e-Golf Owners Manual, page 29, e-manager settings > Minimum Battery charge level - see page 252. Page 252 doesn't cover the reason. So you roll to page 253 "Special...

Driving in B mode often can cause issues?

After working on brake calipers and rotors for years - I would say it has very little to do with driving in "B" mode. Glaze on rotors can be several things: Stuck Caliper where the pins that the caliper slides on are not lubricated and free. Cheap rotors and metallic pads polishing the rotors. I...
