A couple of people in the GTA (just outside Toronto actually) posted they had this same issue and it was a bad cell. Was fixed in the end, but took about 10 weeks start to finish.

It would be interesting to watch the discharge with and without the alarm system active. I have heard that with the car locked and the alarm active it uses more battery as a result. Having said that my car sat idle for over a month and when I checked codes with OBDeleven it showed a fault that...

Not knowing how the battery management system works, it may be the system balancing the cells. It uses resistors to discharge the cells that have a higher voltage to bring them to the same level as the lower voltage cells, this may be enough to show a less than 100% charge.

Is there a way (either by VCDS, OBDEleven) that you can extend the locking pin so it can be cleaned and lubricated regularly? I try to spray some silicon on the pin occasionally but it's a bit difficult with the charging cable attached.

FWIW I have read several cases of the same thing happening to the newer (2019) eGolf's, all in the UK forums. Same issue, failed cells in the pack that required pack replacements, along with extended wait times for the procedure to be completed...

I also sprayed the J1772 plug when I first got the car since it was hard to insert into the charging port, and silicone spray dries with no residue to attract dust/dirt, plugs in so much easier now.

How did you lubricate the pin? Is there a way to get it to extend when not charging so you have access to it, or did you just spray the silicone as best you could when the pin was retracted?

I know some cars after a certain amount of time (one week, two weeks, not sure) of not being used they go into a sort of deep sleep and turn off all electronics. My dads Porsche sits for 6 months over the winter without a charger and the 12v battery is still mostly charged and starts the car...

From what I recall you can only set one or the other, off peak, or departure time, not both. I guess it's because they can conflict with each other.

No note on liquid battery cooling, so I assume it's air cooled only like the e-Golf?
