2016 e-Golf has Bridgestone Ecopia which I don't like...seem to be intended to only drive on perfectly dry roads so not ideal for New England. I don't drive the e-Golf during bad winter weather, but would like something that's better in rain at least. Recommendations?

Brand new to the e-Golf...trying to understand the most efficient ways to use the heat. 1) Do the heated seats use more or less battery than the heater? 2) When the car is charging, how do I preheat? The car won't start while it's plugged in, so I'm not sure I understand how to turn the heat on...
