    New eGolf charger error

Possibly a quality control problem with some vendor (perhaps Chinese?) So they went either with another vendor or back to the Delphi brand. The original Delphi's were made with Clipper Creek parts, and for the most part, are quite reliable, as well as charging up with a 12 amp vs 10 amp rate...

VW ID.3 - All New Electric MEB Platform

Interesting, about the trains. You used to be able to set the time on your watch pretty much by Lufthansa's arrival times. I don't know if it's still this way today.

    Really dumb question about charging

50% -60% SOC is what they store new batteries at, for SOC. So 50% would probably be a good minimum, I would think.

    on/off button while driving

I find you can do the same thing as the mode button, just by driving it less aggressively with throttle application, acceleration rates and turning off the fan and A/C. So why even have it? Just another gimmick for operators with no self control.

High ambient temps and unusual mile /kWh

We've had 12 days now of very high 90s to mid 100 temps during the day. I usually get on the road locally by 10:30 to 11:00, when it's hot already, for a 13 mile drive to a family members home. All surface streets, about 30 to 35 minutes most days. With this heat, my miles per kWh on the Guess...

    ACC Not Available

If I dink around enough on VCDS, I can probably deactivate it.

I hope one can turn that feature off, or get the car without it. I would find it irritating as hell, being such an inattentive driver that your car needs to tell you to or remind you to slow down. If it can't be shut off, I may as well forget about buying a 2019 SEL, and paying for something...

    Squeaky Wheels and Rattling Vent

My 2015 has squeaky wheel on start up too, it's coming from the right rear caliper. One or two stops, and it's gone, every single time. It's a VW "feature" as my 2014 Touareg sometimes does it, also.

    Your highest mileage before re-charging

Bump, to see how the 2017, 2018 and 2019 owners are faring with their 32 kWh batteries.

    Fully charged readout

You can push the shifter to the left for D1 or D2 coming down the hill, then push and hold it to the right for a full second to put it back in D at the bottom of the hill. That should assist in more regenerative braking, provided your "fuel" gauge is at least greater 1 mark below full tank. I...

It's radar, and even a slightly low mounted license plate on the front can interfere with the functionality of the sensor.

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

Now that you own a German car, understand that they don't think or build cars like most other manufacturers. Learn the car, and adapt to it's new behaviors and new features. You are human, learn to adapt. Don't expect the car to change it's ways to you and your preferences, it won't, it's...

    2019 eGolf Prices Paid

Best selling price I've seen in a long, long time, on a SEL. Nice work on your negotiations! It's a complex car, read the Owners Manual cover to cover a few times, and sit down with the owners manual inside your car to go through and learn how all the features work. it will save you a lot of...

    Regen braking issues

Psycho.... the e-Golf has a 1 speed transmission. Over revving the motor is impossible. And, to quote you.... you don't know how he drives... Overcharging the battery in regen mode, if battery is near full charge, might be possible, and cause loss of regenerative braking. Over revving the...

Judging by your posts here, you sound more like a candidate for public transportation than having the privilege of driving a car. I've never seen anyone come in here as a newbie like you, and have so many problems, and whine so much about a new to them car, and learning how to operate it. It...

    Regen braking issues

Try taking it out of "B" mode and driving in "D" mode using your foot brake 100%, and see if the problem goes away.

Sounds like he purchased. Lease deals aren't so great right now.

    2016 e-Golf in hot Texas!

No way in hell, or Texas, I would buy an e-Golf with a 3.6 kWh charger. Wait a year and get a 2017 off lease. Or buy a new 2019 SE for cash, if you can swing it. No matter how you slice it, the heat in Texas on a passively cooled LiPo e-Golf battery is going to shorten the life of the...

    Fully charged readout

Normal for the "fuel" gauge to show just a tad under full, regardless of age of battery or degredation. 69 miles on a full charge is kind of low. Do you live on a hill or a mountain, that would, elevation wise, last few miles traveled, lower your Guess O Meter estimate? Or do you drive hard...

Relying on that equipment is going to get you in an accident. Be a more active, defensive driver, instead of passive, relying on systems that fail. Especially when the people in front of you are innocent when your system fails and you slam into them. Pet peeve of mine, I've had a bad lower...
